Gary Sheffield is a leading military historian and has published widely, particularly on WWI. Professor of War Studies at Wolverhampton University, Gary is a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society, who often appears on radio and television and writes for ‘BBC History Magazine’ and ‘History Today’. Today’s talk on two of the big beasts of British military history compares the two men as military commanders and as personalities.
