Friday 28 October 8.30pm The Beacon £6 Award-winning performance poet, raconteur and author Tina Sederholm is back in town with her latest Edinburgh Fringe Show. With her fabulous rendition of Consider the Cupcake, Oxford-based Tina won the poetry slam in Festival 2013 and since then she’s appeared regularly in the lit-fest line-up.
A firm favourite for her high -octane performance style, Tina has now turned her attention to the tricky question of ‘How to make friends with debt without jumping into bed with it!’ She gets real about money in Till Debt Us Do Part, an unflinching but comic plunge into the nether regions of debt.
Waking up amongst rumpled credit card receipts and a pile of rejection letters, Tina finds herself in the embrace of a serpent she definitely shouldn’t have taken home. How did she get here, and more importantly, how is she going to get out? And with the UK 1.65 trillion pounds in debt, is it ever possible to be truly debt-free?…Solvency and love are distilled from fiscal meltdown as performance poetry meets finance in this energetic and inspiring show.
