Richard Buckley, of the University of Leicester, directed the project which located, unearthed and identified the skeleton under a car park in the city in 2012.
The royal remains were confirmed as that of the last Plantagenet king in February last year.

Dr Buckley was made an OBE in the 2014 New Year’s Honours List for his services to archaeology, and voted Current Archaeology’s Archaeologist of the Year.
A graduate in archaeology from the University of Durham, Dr Buckley has spent over 30 years working as an archaeologist in Leicester, specialising in complex Roman and medieval urban sites and historic buildings.
