Sunday 30 October 7.30pm The Beacon £10 Doors and bar open at 7pm.
To wind up our Festival 2016 in party style, we’ve invited back the sensational LiTTle MACHiNe. After their sell-out 2014 festival gig, they’ll be heading into Portway to strut their stuff on the Beacon’s Ridgeway stage.
Described by Carol Ann Duffy, as ‘the most brilliant music and poetry band in the world’, LiTTLe MACHiNe have thrilled audiences from York to Dubai with their unique blend of music and poetry. Works by Sappho, Chaucer, Shakespeare, Blake, Byron, Larkin and many more, are given new life and performed with energy, passion, humour and sometimes heartbreaking poignancy. Fresh from their 2016 head-line tour with Mersey-beat poet and national treasure Roger McGough, the band will be heading to Wantage for a solo gig of rock’n’ poetry. Prepare to tap your feet for words that move the soul at our fab festival finale!
Please note: Young people under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
