Cathy Dreyer came third in this year’s Wenlock Poetry Competition (Adult section) and has been published in VerseKraken, Bare Fiction and fakepoems.tumblr.com. She has read at the Wantage Literary Festival for the last two years, as well as at the Oxford Literary Festival and the Cheltenham Poetry Festival. She is in the middle of an M Phil with the University of South Wales and mourns the fact that Lime, Chilli and Black Pepper crisps are only seasonally available.
Liz Lefroy won the Roy Fisher Prize for new work in poetry in 2011 resulting in the publication of her pamphlet, Pretending the Weather. Two further pamphlets have been published, The Gathering, 2012, and Mending the Ordinary, 2014, and her work has appeared in Magma, Mslexia, The Frogmore Papers, Shoestring, Wenlock Poetry Festival Anthologies 2012 and 2013, Writers’ Hub and Ink, Sweat and Tears. Liz, aka Someone’s Mum, appeared at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2013, performing The Seven Rages of Woman as part of Threesome. She lives in Shrewsbury where she organises poetry readings, and regularly talks about poetry on Radio Shropshire.
Nic May has worked and studied in Oxfordshire for over twenty years. In 2011, during her final year of Oxford University’s Diploma in Creative Writing, she was accepted onto a mentoring scheme with the poetry publisher, Happenstance Press.
