Bring your bear to a storytelling event that is especially for them.
Narrator Marion Leeper will take you on a story hunt to find some kind bears, cross bears, hairy bears and just plain ridiculous bears.
Be prepared for some adventures and to give your bear some big bear hugs.
Poet laureate and former Wantage resident John Betjeman famously took his teddy Archie to university at Oxford in the 1920s. The toy later featured in his children’s story, Archie and the Strict Baptists, and was the model for Aloysius, Sebastian Flyte’s bear in Evelyn Waugh’s novel Brideshead Revisited.
Marion Leeper has been listening to and telling stories for as long as she can remember, having grown up in a family of actors, raconteurs and tellers of tall tales.
She has performed in schools, libraries, shops, museums, festivals, dungeons and garden centres throughout Britain.
She tells to all ages, from two to 102.
