Tuesday, October 27, The Bay Tree Cafe, 4.15pm: Join Lin Kerr for a craft café session with a Betjeman twist.
Taking inspiration from the great man’s evocative poem In a Bath Teashop, adults are invited to an informal interactive mini collage-pattern workshop – followed by tea, scones and poetry.
You don’t need to be an artist – and all you need to bring is a pair of scissors.
Kerr is a fine artist, illustrator and calligrapher who lives in Chilton. Her exhibition, Rope of Words, will be on display at the Vale and Downland Museum during festival week.
She is a fellow of CLAS (Calligraphy and Lettering Society) and a full member of Letter Exchange, a society for professional lettering artists.
Kerr teaches calligraphy and exhibits lettering-based artworks and watercolours of flowers.
