Saturday 22 October 11am The Beacon Wantage £7 Interviewer: Nicola Cornick.
For this year’s festival opening talk, we are delighted to be welcoming best selling novelist and Kintbury resident, Gill Hornby. Gill’s first novel, The Hive, was a top 10 Sunday Times best seller and this year Abacus are publishing the paperback edition of her second novel, All Together Now, the hilarious and heart warming story of a small-town community choir. Described by Kirsty Wark as ‘witty and brilliantly observed, with a passion for the pop song and an undertow of real warmth’, All Together Now is about the joys of singing, about living in harmony, about falling in love… and about the importance of finding your own true voice.
